The ColorDrive pedal is a very close representation of the 1971 version of Colorsound’s, Overdrive pedal. There are numerous different sounds that can be achieved from a clean boost, to all out distortion. Truly one of the best overdrive pedals I have ever played through; Individual Bass & Treble controls allow for a greater range of tone that can be achieved. This pedal really shines when cranked trough your tube amp. You have to hear this pedal to believe it.
Colordrive2 pedal with a second Gain & Volume stage, allows for normal low gain playing & high gain boost capabilities. Like having 2 pedals in one.
This pedal is an updated version that first appeared in November 1968′s issue of Electronic Australia Magazine. This is a very clean sounding tremolo that is a big hit in the DIY community.
An adaptation of the Mosrite Fuzzrite – a psychedelic fuzz pedal from the late 60′s that was one of the first on the scene. Classic tones heard on songs like, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and Spirit in the Sky, are no problem for this pedal. Back off on the depth, and the Fuzz tames up quite nicely.
The VFX-OD is a great sounding pedal using a dual JFET OpAmp. The sound is much like that of a Tube-Screamer that has been unleashed without all of the compressed / squished tone that is characteristic of the TS. There is a pot that allows for some diode clipping in the output stage that can be tailored by the “Clip” knob if that is desired. A very wide range of sounds from slight dirt to feedback laced distortion are possible with this pedal.
Germanium NPN version of the classic Rangemaster. A volume control has been added for greater flexibility as well as a toggle switch that allows you to change from the classic “Treble Boost” to a well rounded “Mid Boost”. Because the device is NPN, it allows the pedal to be used with your Boss style 9vdc adapters without any type of conversion.
VintageFX Distortion is based on a Fuzz Face type circuit with a J201 in the second stage for that extra kick that takes you from Fuzz to all out distortion. Attack can create several different nuances when combined with different gain settings. You will not get a good “Metal” tone from this pedal; but more of a hard vintage sounding Distortion. Different settings can also create a mild ripped speaker type sound.
VFX-D2 is an OpAmp based Circuit combined with clipping LED’s for a smooth, but crunchy sounding distortion. Capable of getting a nearly clean boost to full distortion. Toggle switch provides a Big Muff style “Compressed Tone” setting that can really color your sound when the Distortion & Volume are pushed hard. Near ‘metal’ distortion can be achieved with the Compressed Tone setting on.
